Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use ninjaverband.at easily — whether you browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or on your phone.

Our standard
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. As a non-profit association we are not legally required to — Austria's Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, WZG) applies to public bodies. We do it anyway, because Ninja Sport is for everyone.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations are listed below.
What we have done
- A "Skip to content" link at the start of every page
- Full keyboard operation, including the mobile menu
- Clearly visible focus indicators
- Correctly marked-up page language, with every page available in English
- Text alternatives for images, plus labelled icons and flags
- Sufficient colour contrast for text and controls
- A logical heading structure and page regions (navigation, content, footer)
- No animations if you have "reduce motion" turned on in your system settings
- Works from 320 px screen width and up to 200 % zoom without horizontal scrolling
- The European Championships start times also work offline after your first visit
Known limitations
- Map on "Where to train": the embedded Google My Maps map is third-party content and only partly usable with a keyboard or screen reader. Alternative: the text list of gyms on movum.fyi.
- PDF documents: forms such as the European Championships consent form may not be fully accessible. We're happy to send them in another format on request.
- Image gallery: the slider on the homepage changes images automatically; descriptions are provided, but screen reader support is not yet ideal.
- Start lists: names and spellings are taken unchanged from the organiser's official start list.
Found a barrier?
